We hope to use this wiki to collect together a history of both the History of CUBB and History of FoCUBB.
Cambridge University Brass Band was set up in 1987, as an entirely student-run and self-funded university society. Since its early days, the band has enjoyed large membership, and has attracted high quality brass players from all over the country. The society's aim was, and remains, to promote the unique music and musicianship enjoyed in a traditional brass band. This has been well achieved, and the band enjoys a good reputation in the university and local community.
Not sure when the first tour was, but we now go every year now…
Yes, we have a dinner ever year. More recently there have also been awards…
Since 2007 we now play a concert with the Oxford University brass band.
