History of FoCUBB

We have been going a while now, having started in 1996 with the band chairman as ex-officio chairman of the Friends of CUBB. In the early days, FoCUBB was known as the granny army and was mainly focused on trying to keep in touch with potential audience members as well as former band members. FoCUBB became a more separate entity in 1999 with a constitutional change to the band which made the position of Chairman of FoCUBB a member of the main band committee tasked with being the link between the band and ex-members of the band. The first Roots was in late 1999, having been pioneered under the chairmanship of Gareth Hopkin.

FoCUBB is run by a separate committee consisting of a Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary and Editor of Roots.
